Although not so ‘hot’ as a few years ago, biofuels and bioenergy still are generating a lot of attention. This is not necessarily a negative development, but we must make sure that the biofuel debate is based on well-informed opinions. Biomass Research is devoted to the analysis of sustainable biomass and bioenergy production. We are convinced that good quality data are needed if we want to make a balanced assessment of opportunities and of threats.
Currently, availability of such data often is lacking. This has its repercussions on the biofuel debate, which can be superficial. Or worse. Biomass Research is devoting a considerable amount of time – and part of our profits – to generate good quality data and to present them in a form that is reliable as well as accessible. Our factsheets are reknown for their clearness and depth.
