Sustainability Quick Scan
(Preliminary version)
Sustainability is a complex issue. Researchers, environmental activists, governments, companies and NGOs, all provide us with information how good or bad a given production activity is or can be. This can be confusing. The Sustainability Quick Scan provides a clear and brief answer as how sustainable a given activity or product is. This is done using six dimensions of sustainability.
Using the Sustainability Quick Scan allows us to present the impact of biofuels at a glance: it's effect on
the reduction of Greenhouse gases (GHG), competition for land and inputs, impacts for food production or deforestation. It is all included. The quick scan is an initiative of Biomass Research (a research company located in Wageningen) and sustainability transport advisor Zero-e (based in Amersfoort,
The Netherlands)
For more information, you are requesed to get in touch with Zero-e (info@zero-e.nl) or Biomass Research (hans@biomassresearch.eu).
Here, we present a, preliminary, online version for bioethanol production chains. The questionnaire is still under development, and your comments are appreciated (please mail to:
info@biomassresearch.eu).
Please select the biofuel that is produced.
